Goldsmiths Centre for Contemporary Art is searching for a Curator (maternity cover) to work in a small but focused team to manage and produce forthcoming exhibitions, and curate the public programme.
The role requires a dynamic and organised curator with experience in managing large-scale and complex installations, alongside a technical team. The role requires planning alongside the director and engagement curator, and you must be able to contribute to decisions involving all aspects of the gallery. You will be a proficient writer, and able to work with artists to realise their projects with professionalism, care, and insight. You will be expected to take a lead with gallery communications and should have some knowledge of website management, design, print, and social media.
You will have exemplary organisational skills and be able to manage and support junior staff.
A track record in curatorial practice is essential, and a good knowledge of contemporary art and ideas is paramount.
We would like the postholder to start 1 November 2021 or as early as possible.
