Curator, the Bluecoat. Liverpool
Curator, the Bluecoat
Deadline: 5pm Monday 16 March
The Bluecoat is Liverpool’s centre for the contemporary arts. The organisation presents work across a range of art forms, including literature, dance, music, live art and the visual arts; we seek to champion art forms in their own right and also to encourage interdisciplinary practices.
This is an exciting time to join to the Bluecoat ahead of the organisation celebrating the 300th anniversary of the building in 2017 with a year of specially devised commissions and events.
The Curator is responsible for shaping the Bluecoat’s year round exhibitions programme. Solo and group shows are staged in our stunning galleries housed in a new arts wing, built as part of the Bluecoat’s capital development, an award winning scheme that successfully enhanced the historic building with a modern extension. The post holder will initiate exhibitions and related events, bringing their own research to the organisation while also working alongside the Head of Programme and Artistic Director/Project Curator of 2017.
To apply, please complete and submit the Application Form and Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form to recruitment@thebluecoat.org.uk or by post to: Recruitment, the Bluecoat, School Lane, Liverpool L1 3BX.
