Overview
Västernorrland’s Museum is seeking a Curator for Contemporary Art to lead its “Image and Form” program, focusing on exhibitions, program activities, and collaborations. This role includes planning and implementing the Västernorrland Triennale, a contemporary art event across the region, and creating meaningful connections between artists and the public.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and implement the Västernorrland Triennale.
- Curate exhibitions and artistic content for the museum and external collaborations.
- Build and manage strategic partnerships with artists, institutions, and organizations locally and regionally.
- Organize public events and programs to promote dialogue and engagement in contemporary art.
- Collaborate on educational and digital initiatives related to contemporary art.
Qualifications
- University degree in art history, liberal arts, curating, or equivalent fields.
- Experience as a curator in contemporary art, including exhibition production.
- Experience in public programming and mediation.
- Proficiency in digital formats and tools.
- Strong communication skills in Swedish and English (written and spoken).
- Valid B driver’s license.
Meritorious Skills
- Experience in educational activities for children and youth.
- Project management expertise.
- Experience in producing editorial content for web and social media platforms.
