CURATOR – GUGGENHEIM BILBAO
The GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM BILBAO FOUNDATION seeks two professionals specialized in 20th century art and/or contemporary art
Curator
As part of the Curatorial team, they will conceive and develop the contents of temporary exhibitions, and will contribute to the conceptualization the Museum’s art programming. They will also collaborate in the research, development, dissemination, and exhibition of the holdings in the Museum’s Permanent Collection, and will strengthen relations with artists, collectors, lenders, and other agents from the art world.
Requirements include a university degree, preferably in Arts, and knowledge of theories and practice of modern and contemporary art. Applicants must possess a minimum of eight years’ experience in organizing exhibitions and developing art programming preferably at an international level, as well provide evidence of their research by means of a list of curated exhibitions and publications (catalogues, essays, papers, etc.).
Applicants must have a high level of English; other languages, especially Basque, will be a plus.
Salary will depend on the level of relevant skills and experience
