Seeking a Curator to research, develop, and deliver public art projects and exhibitions across St+art India Foundation and XXL. The role focuses on curatorial research, strategy, artist and stakeholder liaison, production coordination, documentation, and project management to ensure thoughtful, well-executed cultural initiatives.
 

Role & Responsibilities

  • Contribute to curatorial and organisational strategies to strengthen St+art and XXL’s practices, projects, and outreach
  • Support projects from research and development through to realisation
  • Research artists, institutions, and cultural practices aligned with the organisation’s vision
  • Liaise with artists, curators, institutions, government bodies, and international partners
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams including Production, Digital & Media, and Accounts to ensure smooth project execution
  • Source and develop new partnerships, collaborators, and business opportunities while maintaining existing relationships
  • Stay informed about industry trends, events, and developments in the arts and cultural sector
  • Assist with sales planning, client servicing, and account management in alignment with organisational objectives
  • Represent St+art India Foundation and XXL at meetings, forums, networking events, and public platforms

 

Production, Logistics & Coordination

  • Support production management as a liaison between artists and the Production team
  • Assist with artist logistics including travel, accommodation, per diems, transport, and shipping
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, estimates, invoices, and financial documentation
  • Coordinate contracts, insurance, and legal documentation in consultation with relevant departments
  • Manage interns, trainees, and freelance team members during projects

 

Documentation & Content

  • Maintain project files, correspondence, and archives
  • Assist with exhibition texts, concept notes, publications, and printed materials
  • Support digital and media teams with content, credits, press material, and communications
  • Research, edit, and manage written content, images, and copyright permissions
  • Compile information for labels, text panels, guest lists, and public-facing materials
  • Represent the organisation at events and assist with talks, presentations, and public engagement
