Mudam Luxembourg is seeking a Curator of Public Programme and Performance. Working as part of the curatorial team, the role is dedicated to the development and delivery of a programme that deepens engagement with the collection and programme of exhibitions and gives performance a visible platform within the artistic programme of the museum. Mudam’s mission is to promote understanding and appreciation of the most relevant art of our times for the largest possible public through its collection, temporary exhibitions, programmes, and partnerships.
Opened in 2006 in a purpose-built building designed by the renowned Sino-American architect Ieoh Ming Pei, Mudam is located in the Park Draï Eechelen overlooking the historic city of Luxembourg.
Reporting to the Head of Artistic Programmes and Content and working closely with the public engagement team and other curators, the Curator of Public Programme and Performance is responsible for the production of a diverse programme that includes lectures, talks, symposia, film screenings, live performance and other events. In contributing to the development of the programme and museum they will work collaboratively with colleagues across the museum and maintain and nurture new institutional partnerships, building upon an extensive local and international network.
Mudam seeks an experienced curator with a particular interest in performance and interdisciplinary practices. They will be in touch with developments globally, with experience of working with artists on new commissions and of producing live events. They will have hands-on experience of leading projects, and be an excellent communicator and team-player able to contribute to the work and activities of Mudam.
