The position focuses on curating, researching, and developing a leading collection of prints and drawings from the Renaissance to the present. Responsibilities include collection stewardship, organizing exhibitions and scholarly programs, acquiring works, and advancing public and academic engagement. Candidates should bring a strong record in connoisseurship and art historical scholarship, particularly in graphic media, and be prepared to expand underrepresented areas within the collection.
Key tasks involve advanced research, acquisition recommendations, conservation assessment, digital initiatives, and fostering networks with scholars, donors, and institutional partners. The role may include supervising project staff and engaging in public programming. The curator is expected to contribute actively to publications, lectures, and cross-institutional collaborations.
Candidate Profile
- Master’s degree in Art History with 7–10 years of relevant curatorial experience, or Ph.D.
- Recognized scholarly expertise and publication history
- Fluency in at least two foreign languages (European or Asian)
- Deep knowledge of collections management, donor engagement, and digital tools
- Proven communication and leadership skills
