Kindred Studios invites curatorial proposals for a new programme of exhibitions in its 275 sqm street-facing gallery at The Gramophone Works, North Kensington, London.
The organisation is looking for curators to develop exhibitions featuring work by artists from its large Kindred artist cohort — a vibrant network of around 500 artists working across a wide range of disciplines.
The selected curator will take the lead in developing and delivering the exhibition, working directly with Kindred Studios artists.
Curatorial opportunity
Kindred Studios particularly welcomes proposals from emerging and early-career curators looking to develop ambitious exhibitions within a supportive artist-led environment.
The selected curator will be responsible for developing and delivering an exhibition featuring artists from the Kindred network.
The Kindred Team will support the process, including practical installation support, promotion through its channels and assistance around the exhibition opening.
Curatorial fee and exhibition support
The selected curator will receive a £1,250 curatorial fee.
Exhibition production costs will be covered separately by Kindred Studios, subject to an agreed budget.
The opportunity provides access to Kindred Studios’ 275 sqm gallery space at The Gramophone Works and its network of approximately 500 artists.
Exhibition dates and application
Kindred Studios is currently looking for a curator to develop and deliver its next exhibition in November 2026.
Strong proposals will also be kept for consideration as the organisation develops its 2027 exhibition programme, so curators are encouraged to apply even if they are not available in November.
Applications close on 26 October 2026 at 23:59.
