Curator / PR Manager

Sun Gallery, one of Korea’s leading contemporary art spaces since 1977, is seeking a Curator/PR Manager to lead both exhibition programming and global communication strategy. This hybrid role involves curating independent exhibitions, managing PR and marketing efforts, and representing the gallery at major international art fairs such as Art Basel, Frieze, and KIAF.

Employment Details

• Full-time, Monday–Saturday, 10:00–18:00
• Based in Seoul, South Korea
• 3-month probation period
• 2 monthly leave days

Key Responsibilities

• Independently plan and execute exhibitions, including artist discovery, spatial design, and programming
• Develop and manage marketing campaigns and press outreach
• Produce promotional materials (catalogs, posters, digital content)
• Manage gallery presence at international art fairs
• Communicate with collectors and curators in both Korean and English
• Coordinate global collaborations and residency programs

Candidate Requirements

Required:

• Degree in Art History, Curatorial Studies, Visual Design, or related field
• 5+ years of curatorial or PR experience in art institutions
• Experience planning at least 3 independent exhibitions
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
• Fluent in Korean and English
• Experience in international art fairs or overseas galleries

Preferred:

• Experience in PR/branding agencies or editorial roles
• Skills in UX/UI design, motion graphics, and video editing
• Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics)
• Additional languages such as Chinese or Japanese
