The K11 Art Foundation has launched the K11 Curator Prize, recognizing Asian curators or curatorial collectiveswhose projects demonstrate originality and contemporary relevance. The inaugural edition focuses on digital art, encouraging curators to explore emerging practices in this field.
The selected curator will receive a career-defining opportunity to curate an exhibition or educational programbetween 2026 and 2028, alongside participation in K11 Art Foundation projects and networking initiatives.
Eligibility
- Open to Asian curators (individuals or collectives).
- Applicants must have curated at least three public projects (exhibitions, not editorial projects).
- Should have 5 to 15 years of experience in the art field.
- Open to curators regardless of residency.
Selection Criteria
- Originality: Innovative approach to curating digital art.
- Exhibition History: Strong track record of exhibitions.
- Research: Depth of scholarly engagement.
- Education: Public engagement and curatorial impact.
- Future Vision: Strength and feasibility of the proposed project.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit a PDF (max. 10MB) via email to k11curatorprize@k11artfoundation.org with the subject line “K11 Curator Prize – [Applicant Name]”. The application must include:
- Personal Information: Full name, age, gender, nationality, email.
- CV: Max 2 pages.
- Curatorial Statement: 300-word statement outlining curatorial approach.
- Portfolio: Up to 5 images with captions and/or a 5-minute video reel (optional).
- Project Proposal: One-page proposal detailing the planned exhibition or program.
