The K11 Curator Prize, initiated by the K11 Art Foundation International Council, recognizes Asian curators or collectives for their originality and relevance, with a focus on curatorial content in digital art, including generative art. This prize alternates annually with the K11 Artist Prize and supports curators through mentorship, professional connections, and the chance to curate exhibitions or programmes with the Foundation.
The winner will collaborate with the K11 Art Foundation to develop projects between 2026 and 2028, gaining access to cross-disciplinary networks and resources.
Eligibility
- Open to Asian curators with 3+ curated public projects.
- Projects must be exhibitions involving multiple participants, not editorial initiatives.
- Applicants must have 5–15 years of active art field experience.
- Individuals or collectives are welcome to apply.
Application Requirements
Applications must be submitted as a PDF (max 10MB) to k11curatorprize@k11artfoundation.org with the subject line “K11 Curator Prize – [Name of Applicant]”.
The application should include:
- Personal Details: Full name, age, gender, nationality, and email address.
- CV: Maximum two pages.
- Statement: A 300-word statement outlining your curatorial approach.
- Images/Reels: Up to five images with captions and/or a link to a 5-minute reel (optional) highlighting your curatorial practice.
- Proposal: A one-page English proposal outlining your initial exhibition/programme idea with the Foundation.
Selection Criteria
- Originality: Innovative curatorial content, particularly in digital and generative art.
- Exhibition History: Excellence and relevance of prior projects.
- Research: Depth of scholarly work.
- Education: Efforts to engage and educate audiences.
- Future Visions: Creative plans and objectives.
