About the Role
Tate is seeking a Curator for the Schools and Teachers Programme to join its dynamic and creative Learning Department. This role is an opportunity to shape innovative learning activities for young people and teachers, working collaboratively with artists, partners, and colleagues to make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day management of the Schools and Teachers Programme, ensuring smooth operation across Tate Modern, Tate Britain, and online.
- Focus on two key strands:
- Hyperlocal Offer: Engage with a partner school to foster long-term collaboration.
- Expanded Welcome: Support audiences with additional needs, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity.
- Work closely with Senior Learning Curators and other team members to develop and deliver programmes that celebrate young people’s ideas, curiosities, and lived experiences.
- Facilitate a learning environment that empowers young people to engage meaningfully with art.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong communication and collaborative team-working skills.
- Experience managing complex programmes, particularly those aimed at young people and teachers.
- Ability to take initiative and ensure effective delivery of multi-faceted projects.
- Commitment to inclusivity and ensuring accessible programming for diverse audiences.
