Overview
Studio Voltaire invites applications for a Curator to lead our Studio and Residency Programmes. This vital role suits a creative, empathetic, and organised individual with a track record of fostering artist practices through professional development and public programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Artist Development: Devise and implement artist development initiatives.
- Program Delivery: Oversee The LOEWE FOUNDATION / Studio Voltaire Award and other residency programs.
- Partnership Development: Collaborate with the Director and Head of Development to secure new cultural partnerships and funding.
- Public Engagement: Lead programs that connect audiences with artists, including talks, workshops, and studio tours.
- Inclusivity Focus: Ensure access and engagement for underrepresented communities.
Qualifications
- A motivated individual with a passion for supporting artists and experience in cultural programming.
Employment Details
- Salary: £34,000 per annum, pro rata.
- Contract: 2-year fixed term (with the potential to renew), part-time (4 days per week).
- Working Hours: 10 am – 6 pm, with some evening and weekend work.
- Probation: 3 months.
- Notice Period: 3 months (1 month during probation).

The Curator (Studios and Residencies) will also manage the Assistant Curator and contribute to Studio Voltaire’s artistic vision and strategy. This role is instrumental in developing Studio Voltaire as a hub for research, experimentation, and artistic production.
