Fantastic opportunity to join a sought after role within our busy Curatorial department.
We are looking for a highly organised and switched on Administrator to work with our Artist Liaison team and provide solid administrative support across the department.
The role has broad responsibility across a wide range of duties which cover in brief:
Artist liaison support – provide general admin support, create mail-outs, and oversee the department intern
Artist Liaison Travel – book and coordinate flights, trains, hotels, visas, etc. for artists and their assistants and the artist liaisons team, provide itineraries and welcome packs, negotiate on hotel rates, update travel costs and produce reporting
Curatorial research –provide support and research duties as requested by the artist liaison team, incl. research for artist projects, collating materials, assisting on inventory updates, ticketing for screenings/ external events, exhibition record keeping
Artist Administration – provide a broad range duties related to the admin on assigned artists. Provide timely and accurate documentation production and collate and update information to support both Sales and Artist Liaisons in effectively working with the assigned artist. This part of the role requires clear and accurate communication of information across a variety of departments.
Education – be the point person for all educational requests and queries to the gallery. Coordinate all educational activities including talks, conferences and symposia. Organise tours of the gallery exhibitions, and provide admin and research.
Department Support – provide support across the department as required, maintain catalogues and source publications, issue POs, and reconcile credit cards.
This role does not work directly with artists in person.
You should have demonstrable experience of working in a busy office with a need for accuracy and the ability to juggle a range of time bound duties. We are looking for strong communicator with previous experience in a fast paced commercial environment and with good art world knowledge.
