Overview
FACT is seeking a Curatorial Assistant to join its Programme team, providing hands-on experience in exhibition development, public programming, and artist support. This role, supported by the John Ellerman Foundation, offers a unique chance to work alongside FACT’s Studio/Lab and Exhibitions teams, supporting artist-led activities from production to presentation. The Curatorial Assistant will gain skills in curatorial work, research, administration, and logistics, positioning them within a leading art and technology-focused gallery.
Responsibilities
- Support the Public Programme, including live events, performances, and workshops
- Assist with exhibitions, from development to opening and maintenance
- Provide research support and create information packs
- Handle administration, including budgeting, artist coordination, and logistical tasks
- Maintain exhibition spaces and troubleshoot as needed
Eligibility
- Open to applicants based in the North West, ideally emerging artists/curators or recent graduates
- Interest in curatorial practice, art and technology, and audience engagement
- Strong communication and Google Suite skills
