BRIDGET RILEY ART FOUNDATION CURATORIAL ASSISTANT: TWO-YEAR FIXED TERM

The Courtauld Gallery is one of the world’s finest small museums with outstanding collections and an acclaimed programme of temporary exhibitions. Set in historic Somerset House in central London, the Gallery is an integral part of The Courtauld Institute of Art, an international centre for the teaching and study of the history of art and conservation.

The Courtauld Gallery is seeking to recruit a Curatorial Assistant, anew position supported by the Bridget Riley Art Foundation. It provides an exciting opportunity for a recent postdoctoral candidate to acquire early career experience in curatorial practice across all the collection and programming areas of The Courtauld Gallery.

The role will support the curatorial department, including making the permanent collection accessible to students and visitors and assisting in the preparation and delivery of the temporary exhibition programme. Applicants must have demonstrable interest in curatorial work and pursuing a career in museums, with ability to work collaboratively and proactively as part of an effective team.  Also required are good organisational and IT skills.
