Hayward Gallery Touring, part of Southbank Centre’s Visual Arts department, is seeking a Curatorial Assistant to support the planning, development, and delivery of British Art Show 10, a major touring exhibition celebrating recent British art.
Hayward Gallery Touring is the UK’s largest organisation producing contemporary exhibitions that tour nationally, working closely with museums, galleries, artists, curators, designers, and writers. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-profile five-city tour and to work at the heart of a nationally significant exhibition programme.
Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the development and delivery of British Art Show 10 from inception through its first venues and across the UK tour

Liaise with venues, artists, curators, lenders, and internal Southbank Centre teams

Coordinate and facilitate new artists’ commissions, supporting planning and presentation

Support the exhibition curator with venue planning, travel coordination, and studio visits

Prepare loan correspondence and track loan requests

Provide exhibition information and materials internally and externally as required
Skills & Experience

Experience working in a visual arts organisation and supporting exhibition production

Experience liaising with artists and multiple stakeholders

Strong organisational, administrative, and research skills with high attention to detail

Ability to manage workload independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines

Strong communication skills and confidence working with diverse collaborators

Good IT skills, including MS Office, Google Drive, and Photoshop
