The B-Part Exhibition project space accompanies the future development of the Urban Mitte am Gleisdreieck with artistic autonomy, while simultaneously entering into a dialogue with the overarching themes of the overall project – forms of New Work, co-working, culture, and sport – and creating synergies between artistic, cultural, and social approaches.
We are looking for a committed, structured, and art-oriented curatorial assistant (m/f/d) who has a pronounced interest in contemporary art and works independently as well as with precision.
Your tasks:
- Project and exhibition coordination
- Exhibition mediation/education
- Design of graphic accompanying materials and publications
- Writing exhibition texts
- Supporting research activities
- Managing social media channels
You ideally bring:
- Strong interest in contemporary art
- Experience in the art world (institutions, galleries, artists’ studios, project spaces) or a relevant degree
- Openness and proactive communication when dealing with visitors
- Very good German and English skills
- Proficiency in using social media
- Confident handling of Adobe InDesign & Photoshop and design knowledge
- Possibly your own laptop
The working hours during exhibition weeks are 16 hours, with one- to two-week breaks when the space is being rebuilt.
A prerequisite is that you are self-employed/freelance and that compensation can be invoiced.
