B-Part Exhibition Project Space is Seeking a Curatorial Assistant

Application deadline: 18 August 2026
Type of employment: Freelance

The B-Part Exhibition project space accompanies the future development of the Urban Mitte am Gleisdreieck with artistic autonomy, while simultaneously entering into a dialogue with the overarching themes of the overall project – forms of New Work, co-working, culture, and sport – and creating synergies between artistic, cultural, and social approaches.

We are looking for a committed, structured, and art-oriented curatorial assistant (m/f/d) who has a pronounced interest in contemporary art and works independently as well as with precision.

Your tasks:

  • Project and exhibition coordination
  • Exhibition mediation/education
  • Design of graphic accompanying materials and publications
  • Writing exhibition texts
  • Supporting research activities
  • Managing social media channels

You ideally bring:

  • Strong interest in contemporary art
  • Experience in the art world (institutions, galleries, artists’ studios, project spaces) or a relevant degree
  • Openness and proactive communication when dealing with visitors
  • Very good German and English skills
  • Proficiency in using social media
  • Confident handling of Adobe InDesign & Photoshop and design knowledge
  • Possibly your own laptop

The working hours during exhibition weeks are 16 hours, with one- to two-week breaks when the space is being rebuilt.

A prerequisite is that you are self-employed/freelance and that compensation can be invoiced.
