The Clark seeks an energetic, organized individual as a full-time curatorial assistant. Responsibilities include a variety of duties, often research-related, primarily advancing the curatorial department’s exhibition program, which includes single-venue exhibitions as well as major international loan exhibitions organized by the Clark.

The curatorial assistant prepares and tracks correspondence regarding loans; researches potential acquisitions; coordinates materials for publications; undertakes permanent collection research; gives tours and participates in public programs; contributes to exhibition and curatorial meetings; and assists in a number of projects as assigned by the Clark’s chief curator. The position is intended to serve as preparation for advanced careers in museum curatorial departments or for graduate study.  It is a one-year position, renewable for a second year.

MA in art history preferred. Reading knowledge of French, Italian, Spanish, or German also preferred.
