Curatorial Assistant
Reporting to the Curator of Contemporary Art, the Curatorial Assistant supports the research, development and interpretation of the permanent collection, temporary exhibitions, accessions, and other work of the Contemporary Art Department. The Curatorial Assistant oversees administrative, budgetary, and scheduling functions associated exhibitions, facilitates communication and organization within the department and on behalf of the department with museum staff, donors, artists, and arts professionals. The Curatorial Assistant also supports the ongoing research and documentation of the SFMOMA collection and the department’s accessions process. The Curatorial Assistant maintains an active relationship to the local, national, and international art community including artists, collectors, dealers, donors, and staff from other museums.
Schedule: Full-Time, 35 hours/week
Pay Rate: $26.06/hour (starting); $31.15/hour (position)
