Permanent Full Time – 35 hours, 5 days per week (over a 7 day Monday – Sunday band-width)

Salary: $65,065.56 pa to $71,295.22 pa + super

Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre is a multi-faceted arts centre that serves as the principal cultural facility of the Liverpool Local Government Area (LGA) and is owned and operated by Liverpool City Council. The Centre comprises of 6 galleries with rotating exhibitions, a 321 seat theatre, 2 artist studios, a 3 bedroom fully furnished artist residency, a ceramics studio, permanent public artworks, a national standard climate controlled gallery and storage facilities, cafe and bar and green open spaces.

The Curatorial Assistant and Exhibitions Administrator plays a key role by contributing to the planning and delivery of Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre’s exciting exhibition programs. This position will be responsible for administrative duties associated with the planning and successful realisation of exhibitions hosted at the Centre or any subsequent touring venues. This includes monitoring the contractual obligations for exhibitions including, but not limited to all incoming and outgoing touring exhibitions, art prizes and our Marsden Gallery exhibitions. The position will also assist with documenting projects, draft artist agreements, liaising with artists and galleries, assisting with grant applications and grant acquittals, curatorial research and the coordination of the installation of exhibitions as required.

You will possess tertiary qualifications in the relevant field and/or have a minimum of three years practical technical experience in the entertainment/performing arts industry.

Salary will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience and competencies of the successful applicant.
