Reporting to the Andrew W. Mellon Curator and Head of Painting and Sculpture, the Curatorial Assistant supports the research, development, documentation, and interpretation of the permanent collection, temporary exhibitions, accessions, and other work of the Painting and Sculpture Department. The Curatorial Assistant undertakes budgetary and scheduling functions, facilitates communication and organization within the department and on behalf of the department with museum staff, donors, artists, and arts professionals. Balance of departmental administration and curatorial duties is approximately 50/50. The Curatorial Assistant builds and maintains an active relationship to the local, national, and international art community including artists, collectors, dealers, donors, and staff from other museums.
Schedule: Full-Time, 35 hours/week
Pay Rate: $26.84/hour (starting); $32.09/hour (position)
