Foundation Overview

Collection Insights

The foundation’s Digital & Media Art collection includes over 400 works from 1959 to the present. It features artists who creatively use digital tools, covering software art, video, electronic sculpture, and more.

Fellowship Role

The Thoma Foundation seeks a Curatorial Fellow for its Digital & Media Art Collection in Dallas. The role involves leading collection management, research, documentation, and exhibition planning. The Fellow will work closely with the Senior Curator and engage with art organizations worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead research and documentation of the Digital and Media Art collection.
  • Manage pre-acquisition research, conservation oversight, and exhibition planning.
  • Foster partnerships with art organizations and museums globally.
  • Engage with the digital arts community and represent the foundation at events.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Art History or related field.
  • Excellent research and communication skills.
  • Independent, motivated, and able to foster new partnerships.
  • Experience in a museum, arts foundation, or similar is preferred.

Location and Schedule

The fellowship is based in Dallas at the Thoma Foundation headquarters. The Fellow will work full-time, 40 hours a week, for a 24-month period.

Compensation

The fellowship offers a $65,000 annual salary, full health benefits, and paid time off.
