The Morgan Library & Museum invites applications for the Moore Curatorial Fellowship in the Department of Drawings and Prints. This one-year fellowship (renewable for a second year) provides hands-on training in curatorial work and expertise in old master and 19th-century European drawings. Fellows participate fully in departmental activities, including exhibition planning, installation, museum education, publications, and research on the Morgan’s collection of pre-1900 European drawings.
Fellowship Format
- Duration: 1 year, with possible renewal for a second year
- Compensation: $57,000 per year, plus benefits
- Travel and professional development budget: $2,000 per year
- Relocation support: one-time payment of $1,500
Eligibility Criteria
- PhD in art history (or doctoral work beyond M.A.), preferably recently completed
- Commitment to scholarship in drawings
- Proficiency in at least one European language
- Strong writing, public speaking, and collaborative skills
- Interest in pursuing a museum curatorial career
