Development Intern

The Development Intern will support the Studio Museum’s fundraising efforts, assisting with tasks such as correspondence related to individual giving, corporate and foundation research, grant report drafting, and maintaining records in the Raiser’s Edge database. Previous experience in development, marketing, or public relations is helpful but not required.

Education Intern

The Education Intern will work on developing digital programs and educational content, contributing to the department’s goals of fostering learning and leadership. The role involves research aligned with the intern’s areas of interest, designed to support community engagement through accessible and impactful programs.

Director’s Office Intern

The Director’s Office Intern will assist with strategic initiatives supporting the Director and Chief Curator, providing administrative, logistical, and research support. Ideal for candidates interested in nonprofit management and external affairs, this role does not include curatorial duties but offers insights into arts administration.

Curatorial Intern

The Curatorial Intern will focus on curatorial research and writing for the museum’s permanent collection, supporting the department with administrative tasks related to exhibitions and the curatorial library. The position is ideal for students majoring in art history or related fields.

Collections Intern

The Collections Intern will participate in collection management tasks, including supporting the Registrar, Collections Database Manager, and Archivist. This internship is suited for students majoring in museum studies or a related field, focusing on collection administration and stewardship.

Communications Intern

The Communications Intern will assist the Communications Department in promoting the Museum’s mission, engaging with media, drafting institutional copy, and contributing to press mentions and museum publications. Interns will learn about communications strategy and media relations best practices.
