The Studio Museum in Harlem invites applications for its Fall 2025 Curatorial Internship. This paid opportunity offers undergraduate and graduate students hands-on experience in curatorial research and museum practices focused on artists of African descent and Black cultural production.
Internship Format

Duration: 14 weeks (15 September – 19 December 2025)

Weekly commitment: 21 hours/week (minimum 3 days on-site, including Tuesdays)

Eligibility Criteria

Open to undergraduate, graduate students, or recent graduates

Must be authorized to work in the United States

Background in art history, visual culture, or related fields

Strong research, writing, and multitasking skills

Interest in contemporary art and curatorial practice
Key Responsibilities

Conduct research on artworks and artists in the Museum’s permanent collection

Support curatorial staff with research for global exhibitions aligned with the Museum’s mission
