The Kunsthaus Biel / Centre d’art Bienne (KBCB) is an exhibition space for contemporary art. Located in Switzerland’s largest bilingual city, the Kunsthaus promotes dialogue between different linguistic and cultural regions through its exhibition program.

Overview

The Kunsthaus Biel is offering:

  • One internship starting in September 2025
  • One internship starting in March 2026

Each for a duration of six months, working two days per week (40%).

Main Responsibilities

  • Supporting curators in organizing and delivering exhibitions (research, translations, proofreading, correspondence, loan agreements, insurance, transport, installation and deinstallation, condition reports, artist relations, guided tours)
  • Various communication tasks (press materials, exhibition documentation, website updates, etc.)
  • Assisting with library management
  • General administrative tasks

They are Looking for Someone who

  • Works independently, reliably, and with enthusiasm, and enjoys a fast-paced and sometimes hectic exhibition environment
  • Has strong language skills in either German or French and at least passive knowledge of the other; English is an asset
  • Is currently studying or has a degree in art history, museology, fine arts, or a related field

The internship is compensated with CHF 500 per month.
