This is a new role intended to support the V&A East Curatorial Team in the delivery of the V&A East Storehouse and V&A East Museum. The role will report directly to a V&A East Curator and work collaboratively with the V&A East Curatorial Team, Collection Division Operations Coordinators and the Conservation and Collections Care and Access team.
The main purpose of the role is to support the Curatorial Team with the delivery of diverse object displays across the V&A East Museum and V&A East Storehouse (c. 2,000 objects), with a focus on coordinating operational planning in conjunction with the Collections Care and Access team, object-based administration and collections management. As such, the postholder will coordinate V&A object documentation, storage, display as well as any external object loans planned for display at V&A East. The V&A East Curatorial Operations Coordinator will be crucial to the smooth delivery of the two V&A East sites.
The post requires first-rate planning and organisational skills coupled with excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in diverse departments across the Museum.
