Internship Details

  • Type: Part-time, 6 months, paid
  • Hours: 25 hours per week over three days (Wednesday 2-6pm, Thursday-Saturday 12-7 pm)
  • Location: Via Orobia 26, 20139 Milan
  • Start Date: October 2024
  • Duration: October 2024 – March 2025
  • Interviews: On-site
  • Eligibility: Master students only

Role Requirements The candidate must be self-organized and proactive. The role involves the organization and prioritization of tasks. The ideal candidate should be a student nearing the completion of a related degree. A keen interest in contemporary art and exhibitions, with attentiveness towards the mission and activities of museums and art institutions, is essential. Proficiency in both Italian (native or excellent level) and English, as well as a strong command of Adobe Suite (especially InDesign and Photoshop), is required. Knowledge of Excel, Monday, SketchUp, and Mailchimp is a plus.

Tasks

  • Assist with communication tasks (social media, website maintenance, newsletter, etc.)
  • Support the production and execution of projects
  • Manage general administrative tasks
  • Update the ICA digital archive, database entries, and artwork inventories
  • Greet visitors and provide information about current exhibitions
  • Assist with exhibition openings
  • Maintain both office and exhibition spaces
  • Run errands as needed

Candidate Specifications

  • Confident in following guidelines
  • Excellent writing and copy-editing skills in English and Italian
  • Ability to support and relate with team members and artists
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and InDesign
