This programme offers travel grants to curators, directors of art institutions, art critics, and other art professionals to conduct research visits in Denmark. It supports networking, exchange, and knowledge of the Danish contemporary art scene. Applicants organize their own program of meetings with artists, institutions, and other professional actors.
Grant Details

Funding: up to DKK 15,000 per person for travel and accommodation

Typical trip: 3–7 days; economy class travel and accommodation

Danish institutions may apply on behalf of foreign curators

Funding cannot be used for exhibition openings, conferences, fairs, per diems (except for applicants from least developed countries), local transport (<15 km), visas, insurance, or entrance fees
Eligibility Criteria

Curators, exhibition directors, art critics, or art mediators working with contemporary art

Applicants must have contacts in the Danish art scene or aim to develop projects involving Danish artists or institutions

Ability to organize meetings and studio visits independently

Foreign applicants must provide bank details exactly matching their name and address for transfers

Outcome and Payment

Applicants notified within 12 weeks after the deadline

Grants paid via international bank transfer as soon as possible

Grant usage must comply with the stated project purpose; reporting required to Danish Agency for Culture and Palaces
