2025 ASYMMETRY CURATORIAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP

Chisenhale Gallery is inviting applications for the 2025 Asymmetry Curatorial Research Fellowship, a unique 18-month position for early-career curators. This fellowship offers the opportunity to work closely with Chisenhale’s renowned commissions programme and its newly launched publishing initiative, Chisenhale Books. The Fellow will be involved in exhibition production, artist liaison, research, editorial input, and public programming. They will also have the chance to explore the gallery’s exhibitions archive and contribute research to its future programming.

The fellowship is open to curators identifying with Chinese and Sinophone cultures, either based in the region or internationally. For Fellows based outside of London, the fellowship includes a two-month residency at Delfina Foundation with accommodation, professional development, and peer-to-peer exchange.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with curators and artists on exhibition development.
  • Manage logistics for exhibitions, artist commissions, and publications.
  • Research and contribute to public programming and archival practices.
  • Participate in studio visits and critical discourse within Chisenhale’s creative network.

Fellowship Duration:
March 31, 2025 – September 25, 2026
