This three-month residency (April 1 – June 30, 2026) supports one curator based in or from Germany to develop a project within the framework of a thematic programme exploring curating in times of democratic crisis. Residents will engage with the Belgian cultural landscape, conduct curatorial research, and have opportunities to present their work publicly.
Residency Details
- Duration: 3 months (full-time)
- Accommodation: shared residency house at MORPHO with kitchen, living room, library, and shared bathroom
- Workspace: individual workspace in the monastery of MORPHO, access to project space and monastery garden
- Programme: weekly sessions with other residents, exchange with Belgian cultural scene
- Mentorship and organizational guidance provided
- Online presentation of work and newly commissioned portrait by artist-photographer Miles Fischler
Financial Support
- Monthly fee: €1,000 gross
- Project budget: up to €1,000
- Travel costs: up to €500 reimbursed
- Family top-up: €100/month for one accompanying child

- Demonstrated critical practice related to democratic processes
- Interest in curatorial research and engagement with Belgian cultural context
