Volunteer roles
3 days a week, for the weeks of 10 June to 30 August 2019
- You will work on defined elements of our electronic object catalogue records, e.g. adding data, improving descriptions, and uploading images.
- You will assist with the work of the Department as required. Tasks may include:
- Assisting with the movement of objects e.g. for photography, conservation, display
- Maintaining accurate documentation and assisting staff with location control
- Helping with the retrieval of objects for study visitors
- Storage work such as assisting with audit and documentation
- Assisting with the Departmental library
Applications are invited from anyone aged 18 or over who has a serious interest in pursuing curatorial work in a museum as a career. You should be able to demonstrate an interest in the fine and decorative arts. Your application should make clear which role most interests you, what you feel you can bring to it and what you hope to learn from it.
