Residency Overview

Each residency invites two collaborating partners: one artist and one researcher/specialist. The interdisciplinary collaboration should focus on multispecies relations and the more-than-human. Residencies occur at Earthwise Residency, Mols, Denmark. Each residency may have specific requirements for applicants.

Residency Theme

The focus is on the more-than-human to foster interdisciplinary work in this critical field. Addressing the climate emergency, these residencies emphasize that Earth is a shared home, not just a resource. Collaboration across science and art can propose new ways to coexist with other species. Earthwise Residency emphasizes practices and research to enhance sensitivity and knowledge about interdependencies. The aim is to develop creative work that fosters curiosity and intimacy with the more-than-human, while also exploring related academic research.
