Introduction
Chisenhale Gallery presents a unique career opportunity for a Deputy Director role. This position is integral to the Gallery’s success, offering a chance to make a significant impact in the art world.
Role and Responsibilities
The Deputy Director will provide vital support to the Director and engage closely with the Board of Trustees. This role includes managing operational and financial aspects of the gallery, ensuring inclusive staffing, and overseeing the overall expenditure of Chisenhale. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing project budgets and producing management accounts.
- Reporting to stakeholders like Arts Council England.
- Overseeing fundraising activities.
- Human Resources and staff management.
- Maintaining building operations and governance.
- Working with a full-time Operations Manager and a part-time Finance Manager.
