Salary: £42,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Working hours: 8 hours/day with 1-hour unpaid lunch
Location: Hybrid, 3 days/week from East London office
Holiday: 25 days
Reporting to: Director
Probation: 6 months
Note: A 4-day working week is currently being trialled; may revert to 5 days/week at the same salary.

New Contemporaries is seeking a driven and visionary Deputy Director to help shape the future of one of the UK’s most vital platforms for emerging artists. This key leadership position will work alongside the Director to refine the organisation’s strategy and business model, fostering innovation across operations, fundraising, and governance.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with a bold, solution-oriented mindset—someone who brings fresh perspectives, strong organisational insight, and the entrepreneurial energy to lead change and ensure long-term resilience.
