About the Role

EMMA is seeking a visionary leader to define the future of art and design exhibition-making and strengthen the museum’s role in the international art scene. The new director will drive artistic excellence, institutional advancement, and audience engagement, while ensuring financial and operational sustainability.

Artistic Vision: Develop innovative exhibition programs with a strong focus on modern and contemporary art and design.
International Impact: Strengthen EMMA’s global presence and cultivate partnerships with leading institutions, artists, and cultural organizations.
Business & Operational Leadership: Oversee financial and strategic planning to ensure the museum’s long-term success.
Team Leadership: Inspire and manage a multidisciplinary professional staff, fostering a culture of creativity and excellence.
