Culture Resource (Al-Mawred Al-Thaqafy) invites applications for the position of Director, a key leadership role guiding the organisation’s vision of fostering creativity, inclusivity, and equity across the Arab region.
About Culture Resource
Culture Resource is a regional, non-profit organisation supporting artists, cultural practitioners, and cultural institutions in the Arab region. Through grants, capacity-building initiatives, and networking opportunities, the organisation strengthens the independent cultural sector and advocates for freedom of artistic expression, cultural diversity, and universal access to culture.
Position Overview
The Director will lead the organisation’s strategic direction, programme development, and partnerships. This role requires deep knowledge of the region’s diverse histories and political and socio-economic landscapes. The Director will work closely with a dedicated team to design responsive cultural programmes, evaluate and refine ongoing initiatives, and secure partnerships and resources to advance the organisation’s mission.
Key Responsibilities

Provide visionary leadership, overseeing all programmes and operations.

Develop and adapt programmes that address the evolving needs of the Arab region’s cultural sector.

Monitor, evaluate, and refine existing projects and initiatives.

Identify and cultivate partnerships and resources to support the organisation’s work.

Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and dynamic team culture.
Qualifications

Demonstrated commitment to the organisation’s values: cultural access for all, freedom of artistic expression, diversity, community engagement, inclusivity, transparency, and trust.

Proven leadership experience in the cultural or non-profit sector.

Strong understanding of the cultural ecosystem in the Arab region.

Experience designing, managing, and evaluating cultural programmes.

A demonstrated ability to secure funding and build institutional partnerships.

Familiarity with the political and socio-economic contexts in which the organisation operates.
Terms of Employment

Full-time position based in Beirut, with flexible work arrangements.

Start date: September 2025.

Annual salary between USD 60,000 and USD 85,000, commensurate with experience, plus additional benefits and professional development opportunities.
