About the Museum
Opened in 2012, the x is an innovative museum located in the historic mining region of northern France, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The museum emphasizes accessibility and public engagement, drawing over 500,000 visitors annually.
Responsibilities
The Director of Conservation, Exhibitions, and Publications will design and coordinate original exhibitions and manage collections in collaboration with the Louvre and other institutions. Key duties include:
- Coordinating temporary exhibitions and overseeing the Gallery of Time.
- Managing conservation teams and budgets.
- Engaging in public relations and representing the museum in the media and cultural partnerships.
- Leading teams and directing editorial projects.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (or higher) in art history, history, or archaeology.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of a second foreign language is a plus.
- Experience in public collection management, exhibition curation, and team leadership.
- Strong writing skills, innovation, and organizational capabilities.
Conditions
- 39-hour work week with 23 RTT days (additional leave).
