JOB PURPOSE
To assist the Curatorial team with the documentation of the Art Galleries collection of works on paper. To create, edit and maintain catalogue records for the Walker Art Gallery. To improve access to our collections, particularly through digitisation and publication on NML’s website.
Main Activities
Reporting to Assistant Curator of Fine Art you will:
• Prepare and process data using NML’s collections management system, Mimsy XG 1.6.
• Edit and improve catalogue records for web publication.
• Identifying and contacting copyright holders to secure image rights.
• Upload images to NML’s collections management system.
• Identify key objects or stories for use in social media content.
• Liaise with colleagues in Curatorial, Digital and Marketing to update and promote access to NML’s online collections.
• Take responsibility for personally participating in the Performance Development & Review process (PDR).
• Undertake training and development courses and programmes, as required.
