Edinburgh Printmakers’ Contract Opportunity
Associate Curator for Artistic Strategy Development

Our aim is to commission, publish, produce and exhibit artists whose work is critically relevant, appropriately diverse and relevant to society, embracing equalities and diversities, indigenous culture and language; to engage a broader and ever expanding audience base.

In planning for organisational and capital development change, we seek an Associate Curator to help us develop our artistic strategy. Edinburgh Printmakers’ artistic strategy places printmaking at the centre of contemporary artistic practice, within a context of converging media. Our exhibitions programme champions an interdisciplinary approach whilst celebrating the medium of print, representing leading and emerging national and international artists. We support collaboration, research, innovation, and curatorial development and continue to explore crossovers with new technologies and digital media.

The Associate Curator will help develop our programme in line with our Artistic Policy, from unique links with artists and curatorial partnerships fostered worldwide with print studios, print publishers, academic researchers, writers and professionals from across sectors.

The successful candidate will have a sound working knowledge of contemporary visual art and be able to demonstrate strong knowledge of printmaking. They will have considerable professional experience working at an international level, but be able to work creatively to a modest budget.
