Job Description

The Museum of Tomorrow seeks an Education Manager for its Education team. The role involves leading educational strategies, managing teams, and enhancing learning through innovative methods.

Responsibilities

Daily Activities:

  • Strategize and guide professionals on educational visits, teacher training, accessibility, and scheduling.
  • Support decision-making involving museum education as a strategic partner.
  • Lead a friendly and collaborative multidisciplinary team.
  • Monitor team attendance, performance, and behavior using institutional tools and feedback.
  • Develop research and methodologies to boost learning at the museum.
  • Evaluate and measure the educational programs’ impact with regular research.
  • Oversee educational and accessibility aspects of temporary exhibitions.
  • Innovate in educational methods and language.
  • Manage demands and resources for specific projects.
  • Prepare educational management reports to support decision-making.
  • Implement quality indicators and manage contractual goals.
  • Coordinate information with planning and communication departments.
  • Align educational programs with the Museum’s expectations and standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A degree in museology, biology, physics, mathematics, geography, history, literature, education, arts, cinema, social sciences, or philosophy is required.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in education, scientific dissemination, or museum didactics are necessary.
  • Experience in project management, museum education, pedagogical methodology development, and team leadership is essential.
