Job Overview
The Educational Programming Manager is responsible for organizing and overseeing a wide range of educational programs and activities. This includes designing, coordinating, and administrating school and family visits, adult group tours, and various seasonal activities. The role involves close collaboration with the museum’s educational team under the supervision of the Head of the Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Programs and Activities
- For Schools: Guided visits for preschool, primary, and secondary students, and interactive workshops for non-university levels.
- For Families: Family workshops, Christmas activities, and summer events.
- For Adults: Guided tours of the collection and temporary exhibitions.
- Activity Coordination
- Supervise and lead programs and activities, coordinating with the Head of the Department.
- Design
- Collaborate on activity and resource design with the museum’s education team, ensuring projects are completed on time.
- Administration
- Manage billing, budgets, and supplier coordination.
- Oversee material stock, infrastructure maintenance, reservations, and participant communications.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, including data protection, and coordinate external service providers.
- Activity Development
- Act as an educator for designated programs and participate in the schedule of activities.
- Evaluation
- Implement and manage a qualitative evaluation system for all activities, providing quarterly reports to the Head of the Department.
- Communication and Documentation
- Maintain archives of photographs, videos, and documents related to educational programming.
- Update web information on school activities and public programs.
- Facilitate internal communications on project progress across departments.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Education, Art History, or Humanities.
- Postgraduate studies in relevant fields (e.g., Cultural Management, Museology, Pedagogy).
- Additional training in art education, cultural management, or cultural industries is a plus.
- Relevant publications in the field will be valued.
