Blindside invites emerging curators to apply for mentorship from Laura McLean, Associate Curator at Liquid Architecture, Naarm Melbourne. This mentorship includes developing a $3000 funded onsite exhibition and radio program at Blindside.
Responsibilities
The selected curator will:
- Develop a critical group exhibition at Blindside, opening in November 2024.
- Present an accompanying radio program on Radio Blindside.
- Work closely with the mentor for curatorial research, artistic exchange, project management, and funding applications.
- Collaborate with the Blindside Board of Directors, Gallery Coordinator, Liquid Architecture Director, and Creative Producers.
- Engage with contemporary curatorial methodologies and various artistic viewpoints.
Requirements
Applicants must submit a project proposal that includes:
- Exhibition framework
- Possible broadcast outcome
- Developed project concept
- List of artists

Application Assessment
Applications will be assessed by the Liquid Architecture curatorial team and Blindside Artistic Directors. Applicants will be notified of their application’s outcome. Due to the high volume of applications, feedback cannot be provided.
