Autograph is seeking an Engagement Curator (Maternity Cover) to lead its work with schools and young people while contributing to the development of its wider community engagement programme. The role is based at Rivington Place in Shoreditch and combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery across on-site, off-site, and digital contexts.

The successful candidate will guide learning and participation activities aligned with Autograph’s artistic themes — identity, race, representation, and rights — and help broaden access through meaningful community partnerships.

Role Overview

  • Contract: Fixed-term (May/June 2026 – February/March 2027)

  • Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

  • Salary: £40,000 – £43,500 per annum (depending on experience)

  • Location: Rivington Place, Shoreditch, London (hybrid flexibility available)

  • Reporting: Engagement Curator (Maternity Cover position)

  • Interviews: 31 March 2026

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver engagement activity with schools and young people.

  • Review and develop the organisation’s community engagement strategy through consultation.

  • Design and contribute to creative activities across on-site, digital, and off-site programming.

  • Build and manage partnerships with community organisations, libraries, and stakeholders.

  • Oversee project management, budgeting, evaluation, and impact assessment.

Eligibility & Profile

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • Strong alignment with Autograph’s mission and subject areas, including interest in photography.

  • Significant experience developing and delivering inclusive visual arts learning strategies for young people (formal and informal contexts).

  • Experience in partnership-building and co-designing engagement programmes.

  • Strong project and budget management skills, with evaluation expertise.

  • Collaborative working style and confidence communicating with diverse audiences.

An Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) certificate is required for this role.
