The Berlin Biennale is seeking an Events Producer to oversee event management for its fourteenth edition, curated by Vasyl Cherepanyn and opening in June 2027.
Reporting to the Head of Project Management, the postholder will lead the technical and organisational preparation, costing and delivery of events. They will work closely with colleagues responsible for the events programme, communications and mediation, providing operational direction to permanent and temporary events staff.
Responsibilities
The Events Producer will plan and deliver official opening events, VIP receptions and exhibition openings, alongside performances, talks, panel discussions and workshops across the Biennale’s venues.
They will coordinate external service providers, obtain quotations, calculate costs and monitor expenditure with the Head of Project Management. The role also includes securing permits, overseeing workplace and public safety, and ensuring compliance with venue regulations and requirements set by public authorities.
Other duties include preparing progress updates, contributing to financial statements and final reports, and supporting departmental administration and international correspondence.

Applicants should have completed relevant vocational training or have equivalent professional experience in event management or production. The Biennale seeks three to five years of event or production management experience, ideally within culture, contemporary art or festivals.
Strong knowledge of event technology, regulations governing event venues and permit procedures for public spaces is required. Candidates should be organised, able to work independently under pressure, and confident communicating across an international team.
