Louvre Abu Dhabi is a new cultural beacon, bringing different cultures together to shine fresh light on the shared stories of humanity. The partnership combines the UAE’s bold vision of cultural progression and openness, with France’s expertise in the world of art and museums.

Louvre Abu Dhabi champions cultural achievements from prehistory to the present day. The galleries are not separated by geography but set in chronological order, the aim is to encourage respect, curiosity, learning and self-reflection.

Opportunity:

Louvre Abu Dhabi is looking to appoint a “Events Unit Head” to join the Events team under the Visitor Experience & Sales Department. This role is responsible to support the Events Manager in managing the smooth planning, logistical and operational requirements for all the events across the Louvre Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing the medium and long terms goals, methods, policies and procedures and creates resources plan as and when needed.
  • Assist in developing the department’s budget, along with the administrative, legal and financial actions across the department.
  • Identify the requirements that ensure that events operational requirements and safeguards are performed efficiently and cost effectively, including health and safety protocols.
  • Take the lead on high profile internal and partner events for Louvre Abu Dhabi and ensuring all logistical requirements are in place including but not limited to permits, licenses, and guest invitations.
  • Organize and chair regular project update meetings with relevant departments and stakeholders.
  • Contribute towards the creation of an event guides and procedure manuals for Louvre Abu Dhabi.
  • Support the Visitor Experience unit in problem solving complex circumstances that are impacting the delivery of daily activities, projects, and other units requirements.
  • Assist to manage the calendar of events and space availability for events across the venue in collaboration with the Cultural Engagement team.
  • Works closely with the procurement team to identify preferred suppliers and helps in the creation of tenders for event agencies, as required.
  • Coordinate with the Visitor Experience Technical Unit to ensure all events projects are correctly planned and resourced ensuring smooth delivery of all technical requirements.
  • Create learning opportunities by collaboration, transfer of knowledge, or developing employees in the respective area, that drive employee engagement and growth across the Museum.

Required Qualifications & Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations or related disciplines.
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in events management within an agency or in-house events team for corporate or government entities.
  • Solid experience in developing event management process.
  • Project Management background.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English, French will be an added advantage.
