EXCITING JOB OPPORTUNITY AT IMMA : HEAD OF PROGRAMMING
Situated in the historical grounds of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin the Irish Museum of Modern Art is Ireland’s National Institution for the collection and display of contemporary art. IMMA stands for innovation and experimentation as it delivers on its 2022 – 2026 strategy.

IMMA is seeking to recruit a Head of Programming as a member of the Senior Management Team. Reporting to the Director of IMMA, the Head of Programming is responsible for all IMMA’s public exhibitions encompassing both indoor and outdoor programming. The successful candidate will be widely experienced, have strong people management skills and will enjoy the challenge of a fast-moving, dynamic and versatile environment.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of a master’s degree in Arts and a wide knowledge of and enthusiasm about contemporary art.
- 10 years curatorial experience with a record of increasing professional responsibility and measurable accomplishments.
- Exceptional people management skills with a proven history of effectively managing large scale multidisciplinary teams.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with an ability to establish and maintain significant working relationships.
- Familiarity and experience with appropriate current digital programmes and technology.
- First rate project management skills.
Salary
The salary is in accordance with the 1st point of the PPC Assistant Principal Grade Point 1 €73,236
AP Scale: €73,236, €75,933, €78,668, €81,412, €84,412, €85,730, LSI €88,495, €91,270
