The Biennale of Sydney is seeking an Exhibitions Assistant & Artist Liaison to support the development and delivery of the 25th Biennale of Sydney (2026). This full-time role combines administrative, logistical, and liaison responsibilities, working closely with artists and the Production team to ensure smooth coordination of projects, travel, and exhibition programs.

- Contract: Full-time, fixed term until 31 March 2026
- Salary: $75,000 AUD plus superannuation
- Start date: As soon as possible
Responsibilities
- Coordinate artist travel arrangements, visas, itineraries, and accessibility needs.
- Act as primary contact for artists during travel and installation.
- Support exhibition and program planning, documentation, research, and archiving.
- Assist with installation coordination, venue liaison, and project requirements.
- Provide materials for curatorial, communications, and stakeholder needs.
- Manage databases and ensure accurate records of artist data and project files.
- Support internal and external meetings, minute-taking, and follow-up actions.
- Contribute to stakeholder relations with partners, venues, and sponsors.
Eligibility Criteria
- Experience in artist liaison, exhibitions, or arts administration.
- Strong communication and organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
- Passion for contemporary art and working directly with artists.
