As part of the global Fotografiska family, the Berlin branch embraces creativity without boundaries, exploring the intersection of art, sustainability, innovation, and human connection. Through curated exhibitions, concerts, talks, and culinary experiences, Fotografiska invites visitors to engage with the world in a more curious and conscious way.

Main Responsibilities

Exhibition Planning

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all parties involved in assigned exhibitions.
  • Curate and manage exhibitions from concept to execution, including production, printing, framing, and design.
  • Manage budgets and timelines, maintain checklists and layouts, and oversee external suppliers and consultants.
  • Write and proofread texts, support marketing with press releases and image rights.
  • Coordinate internal meetings and interdepartmental communication.

Exhibition Execution

  • Oversee installation and deinstallation, including condition reporting and logistics.
  • Coordinate artist travel and opening itineraries.
  • Organize installation photography and final documentation.
  • Ensure timely payments and complete archive updates.

Programming and Events

  • Represent Fotografiska Berlin at events and openings.
  • Coordinate and support Artist Talks.
  • When requested, moderate or speak publicly during programming activities.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in museums, galleries, or art institutions.
  • Strong communication and writing skills in German and English.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to lead full exhibition lifecycles.
  • Proactive, problem-solving, team-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with Fotografiska’s mission and cultural landscape.
  • Willingness to work some evenings and weekends.
